Football Recap: Alvin Skates Past South Houston with Ease

Alvin's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 38-6 win over the South Houston Trojans. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their three-point performance the contest before.

Among those leading the charge was Anthony Desanto, who rushed for 35 yards and one score, and also threw for 91 yards and one TD while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Alvin's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for South Houston, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Alvin is set to square off against their familiar foe Sam Rayburn at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. Meanwhile, South Houston will challenge rival Manvel at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
