Baseball Game Preview: Plainville Blue Devils vs. Middletown Blue Dragons

For the second straight game, Plainville will face off against Middletown. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Blue Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Plainville's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Middletown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Plainville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Middletown 12-2 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Devils considering their one-run performance the game before.

For Middletown's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicco Nardi, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. Frankie Randazzese also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Middletown's loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Plainville, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-9.
