Basketball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Florin Panthers and fell 75-41.

When it comes to explaining why Delta lost, don't look at Lucas Keller. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 12 on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, Keller is now averaging an impressive 15.9 points per game.

Varnan Ram was nothing short of spectacular for Florin: he went 13 of 24 on his way to 28 points along with seven boards and four steals. Those 28 points gave Ram a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Hatter, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Florin, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Delta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 119-33 loss against Fortune Early College on the 19th. As for Florin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-39 victory against San Juan on the 19th.
