Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Dynamos vs. Perry Traditional Academy Commodores

The Springdale Dynamos just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Springdale fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Bentworth on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 45-42. While losing is never fun, the Dynamos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Bearcats are ranked 132nd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 56 points the game before, Perry Traditional Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against Taylor Allderdice, falling 74-27.

Springdale's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Perry Traditional Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Springdale beat Perry Traditional Academy 70-61 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dynamos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
