Softball Recap: Cooper Comes Up Short

Cooper and Amarillo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cooper had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Sandies by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Amarillo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8-1 record this season.

While Cooper had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
