Softball Recap: Faith Christian Wins Going Away Against Wake Christian Academy

Faith Christian never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Wake Christian Academy on Tuesday. They blew past the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs 15-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Abby Bradley was a standout: she scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Tynleigh Hinton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Bradley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Faith Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wake Christian Academy only managed three hits.

Faith Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wake Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Faith Christian will head out to square off against Halifax Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Halifax Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Faith Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Wake Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rocky Mount Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
