Recap: Penns Valley Area Rams vs. Somerset Eagles
On Friday, Penns Valley Area strolled past Somerset with points to spare, taking the game 35-21.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penns Valley Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Watson, who rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns. Watson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Penns Valley Area also got help from John Meyer who showed off his sure hands for 126 receiving yards.
Somerset's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camden Lowery, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Lowery's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
Penns Valley Area's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Somerset, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Penns Valley Area will head out on the road to face off against Tyrone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tyrone will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Somerset, they will be playing at home against Forest Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hills is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
