Preview: Collinsville Cardinals vs. Tahlequah Tigers
Collinsville has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Tahlequah Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Tahlequah is ranked 20th).
Last Tuesday, Collinsville ended up a good deal behind Bishop Kelley and lost 50-36. Collinsville has struggled against Bishop Kelley recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Tahlequah put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Pryor with a sharp 61-40 victory. That 61-40 margin sets a new team best for Tahlequah this season.
Collinsville now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Tahlequah, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Collinsville ended up a good deal behind Tahlequah in their previous meeting back in January, losing 63-44. Can Collinsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
