Baseball Recap: Glen Allen Takes a Loss

Glen Allen had lost four straight at home, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 10-7 to make it five. They lost 12-6 to the Hermitage Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered since June 7, 2024.

Ben Pulliam made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Caleb Whitehead was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Hermitage, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

On Hermitage's side, they got a massive performance out of Conner Wharton, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Wharton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Dabney, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Looking ahead, Glen Allen will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Atlee at 7:00 p.m. As for Hermitage, they will challenge Godwin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
