Football Game Preview: Dell Rapids Quarriers vs. Lennox Orioles

Dell Rapids is 8-1 against Lennox since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Quarriers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Orioles at 7:00 p.m.

Dell Rapids is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Sioux Falls Christian, who was ranked fourth at the time (Dell Rapids was ranked 16th). The Quarriers lost 41-15 to the Chargers on Friday. The Quarriers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lennox entered their tilt with Tri-Valley on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Mustangs 41-0. The result was nothing new for the Orioles, who have now won five games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Lennox's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Dell Rapids, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Dell Rapids was taken down by Lennox 35-0 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Quarriers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
