Basketball Recap: Blanchard Takes a Loss

If Blanchard was feeling good fresh off their 75-30 takedown of Harrah last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blanchard Lions lost 64-42 to the Weatherford Eagles on Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Blanchard's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Weatherford, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

Blanchard and Weatherford should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Blanchard will take on Tuttle at 8:00 p.m. on Monday up 197 places (80 vs. 277). Meanwhile, Weatherford (ranked second) will meet Clinton (ranked 294th) at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
