Baseball Game Preview: Foster Falcons vs. George Ranch Longhorns

The Foster Falcons will challenge the George Ranch Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Foster made up a huge gap compared to their last game against George Ranch, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Foster blew past George Ranch 13-6 on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Longhorns on their field since March 31, 2015.

Foster got a massive performance out of Kai Kirchheiner, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Kirchheiner has posted since back in April of 2024. Hunter Maddox was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Foster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are undefeated (2-0) when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

George Ranch is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Foster, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10-1.
