Basketball Recap: Ontario Takes a Loss

Ontario was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-32 to the Ashland Arrows. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 557th, while the Arrows are ranked 98th).

Ashland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Lacey, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. Camryn Cox was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Ashland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Ontario has already played their next game, a 50-43 win against Highland on the 6th. As for Ashland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-28 victory against Mansfield Senior on the 6th.
