Baseball Game Preview: Boys' Latin Charter vs. Constitution Generals

Boys' Latin Charter will head out to challenge the Constitution Generals at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Boys' Latin Charter has five straight victories, Constitution has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Boys' Latin Charter will bounce into Friday's contest after beating George Washington, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Boys' Latin Charter put the hurt on George Washington with a sharp 13-1 win two weeks ago. 13 seems to be a good number for Boys' Latin Charter as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Boys' Latin Charter got a massive performance out of Sebastian Hernandez, who went 3-for-4 with eight stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. Hernandez is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Marion, who went 2-for-4 with eight stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Boys' Latin Charter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Constitution lost 18-9 to Franklin Learning Center on Monday.

Constitution now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Boys' Latin Charter, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Boys' Latin Charter suffered a grim 18-2 defeat to Constitution when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Boys' Latin Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
