Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gibsland-Coleman walked away with it. They breezed past the Saline Bobcats to the tune of 77-39 on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Bobcats are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gibsland-Coleman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points over those games. Saline dropped their record down to 11-26 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Gibsland-Coleman will face off against Phoenix on Friday. Phoenix will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Gibsland-Coleman surely won't give up without a fight. Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
