Softball Recap: Episcopal Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Episcopal's offense. They fell just short of the Magnolia Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Episcopal and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Magnolia, the victory was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Episcopal will take on Lake Belton in a tournament on Saturday. As for Magnolia, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Ennis at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
