Ocean Springs and D'Iberville are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Greyhounds are taking a road trip to take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Solomon Baggett and Chan Harvey.

Ocean Springs is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Mississippi's top teams: Gulfport, who was ranked 16th at the time (Ocean Springs was ranked seventh). The Greyhounds fell 41-28 to the Admirals on Friday. Greyhounds fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Admirals since Friday.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Baggett and Cooper Crosby. Crosby had a great game and gained 202 total yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Baggett was balling out in the loss, rushing for 230 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Meanwhile, D'Iberville strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They enjoyed a cozy 25-7 victory over West Harrison.

Ocean Springs better keep an eye on Jordan Walley. He was instrumental in D'Iberville's win, rushing for 70 yards and a pair of TDs, while also throwing for 146 yards while completing 92.3% of his passes. Those 70 rushing yards gave Walley a new career-high. A healthy portion of Walley's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Malakai Knight.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ocean Springs fell to 5-1. As for D'Iberville, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Ocean Springs has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 229 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like D'Iberville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 227 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Ocean Springs strolled past D'Iberville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 27-13. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' Andre Crosby, who rushed for 134 yards and one score on only 14 carries, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.
