Sterling not only won  on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win  since May 2, 2024. They put the hurt on the Liberty Common Eagles with a sharp  9-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
The team  relied heavily on  Dayten DiOrio, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-5. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Ethan Felzien, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Sterling was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Common only posted a  batting average of  .222.
Sterling's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Liberty Common,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sterling is set to  take on  their familiar foe Fort Morgan  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Liberty Common will  square off against  rival University  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
