Softball Recap: Reese Takes a Loss

Reese was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Cass City Red Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rockets of the 16-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Grace Hall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Reese's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Cass City, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Red Hawks beat Reese by a score of 15-0 later that day.
