Basketball Recap: Great Hearts Western Hills Takes a Loss

Great Hearts Western Hills played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through an 81-50 loss at the hands of the John Paul II Guardians. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-22.

DJ Miller was nothing short of spectacular for John Paul II: he dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 assists. The contest was Miller's 12th in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Taylor, who went 6-for-9 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Great Hearts Western Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for John Paul II, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Great Hearts Western Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Paul II, they will face off against Bracken Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
