Volleyball Recap: Lake Orion Starts Season with Win at Home

Lake Orion gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Holly Bronchos by a score of 2-0. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Bronchos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lake Orion easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18.

Izzy Lawhorn paced Lake Orion's offense, picking up nine kills. Lawhorn got some help from Sarah Traynoff and her 14 assists. Lawhorn also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Abby Lenda, racking up two apiece.

Lake Orion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Dow on the 23rd. Holly has also already played their next game (against Garber), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
