Everything went John Paul II Catholic's way against Liberty Christian Academy on Tuesday as John Paul II Catholic made off with a 15-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Heat: they've now won five in a row.

Adam Donofrio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Donofrio was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Max Mason was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. JT Williams was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

John Paul II Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .806. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .438.

Meanwhile, Thales Academy Rolesville lost 11-2 to Faith Christian on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly nine runs.

John Paul II Catholic beat Thales Academy Rolesville 5-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for John Paul II Catholic since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
