Soccer Game Preview: Belton-Honea Path vs. Walhalla

Belton-Honea Path hasn't had much luck against Walhalla recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears will face off against the Razorbacks at 7:00 p.m. Belton-Honea Path will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

While Belton-Honea Path's victory against Pendleton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1.

Cynthia Diaz and Kalina Santor scored both of Belton-Honea Path's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Walhalla made sure to put some goals up on the board against West-Oak on Tuesday. They blew past the Warriors 4-1. Walhalla haven't had any issues with West-Oak recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Belton-Honea Path's record is now 13-5. As for Walhalla, their record now sits at 6-7.

Everything went Belton-Honea Path's way against Walhalla when the teams last played on April 7th, as Belton-Honea Path made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
