Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Proviso West). They took down the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies 25-7 on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Huskies are ranked 40th).

Proviso West's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Proviso West will square off against Downers Grove North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.08 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oak Park-River Forest, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-14 win against Stagg on the 29th.
