Baseball Recap: JAG Jaguars vs. Central of Coosa County Cougars
After flying high against Talladega last Saturday, JAG came back down to earth. The Jaguars fell just short of the Central of Coosa County Cougars by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 11-7.
Laking Anderson was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off one hit. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for JAG: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise.
