Basketball Recap: Greene County Tech Takes Down Ranked Valley View

On Friday, Greene County Tech faced Valley View in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Greene County Tech Golden Eagles walked away with a 48-40 victory over the Valley View Blazers. The Golden Eagles haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Greene County Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but E'Marriha Johnson led the charge by going 7-for-9 to rack up 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals. What's more, Johnson also posted a 78% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Weslyn Burnside, who went 5-for-10 en route to 18 points.
