Basketball Game Preview: Neuse Charter Cougars vs. Rosewood Eagles

The Neuse Charter Cougars will face off against the Rosewood Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neuse Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.

Neuse Charter is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 81-54 loss at the hands of Lakewood. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Klayton Tew, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Donolyon Tyrell, who put up eight points and eight boards.

Even though they lost, Neuse Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Rosewood lost to Hobbton on the road by a 70-56 margin on Wednesday.

Neuse Charter now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Rosewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Neuse Charter barely slipped by Rosewood in their previous meeting last Wednesday, winning 39-38. Does Neuse Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rosewood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
