Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Comes Up Short

Pleasant Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Leesville Wampus Cats, falling 66-39. The Eagles were down 51-31 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Leesville found their leader in sophomore Piper Fowler, who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Fowler a new career-high in points. Shyann McCummings was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Pleasant Hill's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Leesville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Hill will head out to challenge Hornbeck at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leesville, they will face off against Buckeye at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
