Soccer Recap: West Potomac Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Springfield on Wednesday, West Potomac came back down to earth. The Wolverines fell just short of the Woodson Cavaliers by a score of 4-3 on Friday. West Potomac haven't had much luck with Woodson recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

West Potomac's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Woodson, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-2.

Coming up, West Potomac will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfax at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Fairfax's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Woodson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
