Softball Recap: Mason City Drops Season-High Score on Waterloo East

Mason City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 12-8 to the Waterloo East Trojans. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Mohawks' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Mason City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Waterloo East, they moved to 2-10 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mason City beat the Trojans by a score of 7-0 later that day.
