Baseball Recap: Sullivan's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Sullivan hadn't done well against West Vigo recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Golden Arrows sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Vikings. That's two games straight that the Golden Arrows have won by exactly two runs.

The victory (which was Sullivan's sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Vigo, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sullivan will welcome Vincennes Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Vigo, they will be playing at home against Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
