Shannon dropped to 6-3 on Friday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins on the road dating back to last season. They took a 23-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Itawamba Agricultural Indians. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Shannon lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dashaun Clifton, who threw for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards. Braylen Deans was another key player, rushing for 76 yards and one score on only six carries.

As for Itawamba Agricultural, they will head out to challenge Amory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
