VI Section I (8 Man) recap September 17, 2013

Joseph City took down Superior 58-22 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Fredonia and Beaver Dam played the closest game in VI Section I (8 Man) this week, with Fredonia eventually emerging with a 32-28 victory.

Glendale Prep Academy's dynamic duo of Jarred Yada and Myles Mattox proved to be unstoppable against Mesa Prep, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Yada threw for 125 yards and 3 touchdowns and Mattox had 60 yards receiving. Noah Kersting helped Glendale Prep Academy's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.

Glendale Prep Academy's dynamic duo of Yada and Mattox proved tough for the MONSOONS to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Yada put up the best numbers through the air as Jamie Self's team beat Mesa Prep.

Jacob Thompson made the biggest impact on defense this week as Glendale Prep Academy beat Amy Arnold's team. He pulled down 3 interceptions.

Jaden Willis was the best running back in the league this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 144 yards as Mogollon topped the MONSOONS. Hunter Cochran also contributed to the rushing game with 101 yards on the ground.

Mattox was the best wideout in the league this week as Glendale Prep Academy bested Mesa Prep.

He went 7-17 with 0 interceptions.

As it stands, the Wildcats are in fifth, while the Mustangs are in first.

Mogollon led VI Section I (8 Man) in scoring this week by notching 60 points on Arizona Charter Academy. Jimmy Adams threw for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 90 yards in the win.
