Basketball Recap: Hills-Beaver Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Edgerton last Friday, Hills-Beaver Creek came back down to earth. The Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots were beaten by the St. Mary Cardinals 71-41 on Tuesday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Hills-Beaver Creek's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hills-Beaver Creek will welcome Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hills-Beaver Creek is facing Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at the right time seeing as Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. Mary, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the St. Mary Cardinals take on the Howard Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
