Volleyball Recap: Loganville Takes a Loss

Loganville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson Dragons. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Loganville started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-4.

Addison Warnack paced Loganville's offense, picking up ten kills. Warnack got some help from Avery Anderson and her 18 assists. Warnack also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Katie Brand, racking up four apiece.

Loganville now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Jefferson, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Loganville is taking a road trip to challenge Athens Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Mill Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
