Softball Recap: Fairless Takes a Loss

Fairless lost to Canton Central Catholic back in March of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons came up short against the Crusaders, falling 14-5. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cheyenne Cooper and Sydney Miller did some serious damage despite the final result: Cooper went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Miller went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Cooper is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Fairless' record now sits at 8-14. As for Canton Central Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Fairless will head out to take on Tuslaw at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Canton Central Catholic, they will be playing at home against Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
