Basketball Recap: Josh Haugerud Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcons Win

There's no place like home for Fillmore Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights by a score of 57-47 on Friday. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fillmore Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Haugerud, who went 8 of 16 en route to 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridon Bahl, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 14 points in addition to six steals and four blocks.

Fillmore Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Fillmore Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-38 defeat against Cotter on the 10th. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-47 victory against Alden-Conger on the 10th.
