Football Game Preview: Warren Lumberjacks vs. Gentry Pioneers + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Jackson Denton and Talan Williams are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Warren Lumberjacks will face off against the Gentry Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Gentry likes a good challenge.

Warren is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 66-34 win over Crossett. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won four contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Gentry has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-21 to Gravette. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 13-7 in the first quarter.

Warren will have to keep a close watch on Jaxson Holt and Owen Foreman, a pair of players who had a big impact on Gentry's prior game. Holt picked up 204 receiving yards and one TD, while Foreman picked up 71 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Gentry's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Warren, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-3.

Keep an eye on the quarterbacks in this one, as these two don't mess around when it comes to the passing game. Warren has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 337.4 passing yards per game. However, it's not like Gentry struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 267.6 passing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a classic QB duel.
