Miramonte hadn't done well against Las Lomas recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Matadors narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Knights 25-22. For the Matadors, this counts as revenge for the 23-8 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miramonte to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Blair, who rushed for six yards and one score, and also threw for 90 yards and one TD on only six passes. The dominant performance also gave Blair a new career-high in passer rating (149.3). Jonah Imberg was another key back, rushing for 61 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.
