Softball Recap: Eisenhower Tigers vs. Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles

Eisenhower extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost 9-3 to the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Bishop Carroll, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Considering they have won 19 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bishop Carroll's part, Keira Stripling made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts Stripling has posted over her last six contests. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Allyson Orth was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emerson May, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Coming up, Eisenhower will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. Bishop Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
