University entered their tilt with Irvine on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Vaqueros by a score of 3-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

University had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 28-26, 25-22, 25-23.

The win got University back to even at 6-6. As for Irvine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will welcome Portola at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Irvine, they will be playing at home against Woodbridge at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
