Softball Recap: Westside Triumphs

Westside's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers a 17-0 shutout. The Wolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Westside's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cesar E. Chavez at 9:30 a.m. on the 21st. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wisdom at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
