Basketball Recap: Jefferson Township Triumphs

Jefferson Township won the last time they faced Lenape Valley and Kailey Strauch did her part to make sure it happened again. The Falcons strolled past the Patriots with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-44 with plenty of help from Strauch, who posted 23 points and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Jefferson Township's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Strauch, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Jefferson Township's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Lenape Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Jefferson Township will take on Rutherford at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lenape Valley, they will head out to take on Wallkill Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
