Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Crusaders vs. GRACE Christian Eagles

Grace Christian is 0-3 against GRACE Christian since January of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Grace Christian Crusaders are taking a road trip to face off against the GRACE Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Grace Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully GRACE Christian likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Grace Christian beat Eastern Randolph 88-80. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Wildcats are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, GRACE Christian had to suffer through a 67-36 loss at the hands of St. John's. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Christian will have to keep a close watch on Michael Phillips II and Eli Nelson, a pair of players who had a big impact on GRACE Christian's prior game. Phillips II posted 12 points, while Nelson had eight points.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.4 points per game. As for GRACE Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-16.

Grace Christian suffered a grim 80-55 defeat to GRACE Christian when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Grace Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
