Softball Recap: Desert Christian Comes Up Short

Desert Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-4 to the Tombstone Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 last Monday.

Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tombstone, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Desert Christian will square off against Morenci at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Tombstone, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-2 win against Benson on the 10th.
