Softball Recap: Cardinal Comes Up Short

Cardinal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Berkshire Badgers. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Badgers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Adelyn Grant was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. Brooklyn Whitely also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Cardinal's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Berkshire, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Cardinal will challenge Kirtland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berkshire, they will venture away from home to face off against Geneva at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
