Josh Roberson Delivers Best Effort of Season
Chapel Hill was led to victory by Josh Roberson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Roberson rushed for 133 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Unfortunately for Riverside-Durham, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Roberson. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Roberson saw the Pirates), he rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.

Tyler Jackson Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Thursday, Chapel Hill got the W thanks in part to Tyler Jackson playing the best football he has all season. Jackson rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Jackson might have his next game, a home matchup with Northern Durham, circled on his calendar. When Jackson last faced the Knights back in October of 2023, he rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Jordan Gets a Boost from Blue in 56-0 Win
Amareon Blue was a major factor in Jordan's victory over East Chapel Hill on Thursday. Blue did his part (and then some), rushing for 90 yards and two touchdowns, while also picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.
Blue is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Riverside-Durham on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Blue saw the Pirates), he rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries.

Jamarion Ross Dazzles in Riverside-Durham Loss
While Jamarion Ross delivered a dominant performance on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Riverside-Durham. Ross was dynamite, rushing for 155 yards on only 15 carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown.
For the season, Ross has averaged 202.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 76.8 rushing yards per game.

Christian Cook Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Christian Cook of Hillside. Cook rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Hillside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. Cook and Hillside are taking a road trip to challenge East Chapel Hill on Friday.
