Volleyball Recap: Norwich Eagles vs. Caldwell Bluejays
There's no place like home for Norwich, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Caldwell Bluejays on Saturday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bluejays, too.
Norwich had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-14, 25-20.
Norwich was led to victory by Kori Murphy and Blakley Warner. Murphy had six digs and three aces, while Warner had seven digs.
They weren't the only good server: Norwich was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Caldwell only served eight.
Norwich's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Caldwell, they dropped their record down to 7-18 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Norwich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Independent on the 5th. Caldwell has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Central Christian on the 5th.
