Football Game Preview: Valley vs. Brush

On Friday Brush take on Valley at Viking Stadium (Homecoming) at 7:00 PM. Brush are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.

Brush were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their contest against Sterling last Friday. Brush found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 21-48 punch to the gut against Sterling. Brush got a solid performance out of senior Isaac Morales, who rushed for 86 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.

Meanwhile, Valley took an ego-bruising loss against Sterling two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Valley won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Weld Central 21-20. The win was a breath of fresh air for Valley as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Valley's win lifted them to 1-5 while Brush's defeat dropped them down to 2-4. We'll find out if Valley can add another positive mark to their record or if Brush can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Valley's step.
