Softball Recap: Cincinnati Christian Comes Up Short

Cincinnati Christian entered their matchup against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in April.

Anna Bowling made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Naomi Updegrove, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Cincinnati Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-6. As for Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
